Physician Magazine Med School Without A College Major In Science?

Med school without a college major in science? - physician magazine

Dr. Andrew G. Frantz, dean of admissions at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, said: "The medical school is all about science and not more than science. But school is a time to be ground to complete human beings, a time for reading Plato and Shakespeare and Cervantes. "

The magazine said that I have is the chance for medical school as well, if you choose not science, in relation to college. Is that true? If you have any experience to share, send them please. Thank you!

Yes, indeed. My wife studied theater and is now in the process of the fourth year of medical school into force. Now this does not mean she could not exist without a scientific basis. He was on the right course to take, such as organic chemistry, but she has a degree in theater and not biology or chemistry.

I would not say the same thing. Yes, they accept all races - but you are also required for the administration of the MCAT, and it helps if you have any medical references and some knowledge remain difficult interview questions --

The doctors most likely to write letters of reference and are to get training in the interview - EH UN - pre-med students ...

When I was thinking about medical school a few years ago I had all the research, even went to speak with a counselor and received all kinds of information. Obviously you do not need a degree in science, but you have to take a series of courses in biology, chemistry, physics and anatomy. All schools are different, but most require that you have a high average number of courses and in general. Your MCAT scores are by far the most important part of the application that you enter. The medical faculty is very selective everywhere so we recommend that you work hard. You can enter medical school with a diploma in administration.

the truth if you have a major in art the same chance, if not more, to get into medical school, cos many people go to the schools of medicine and science of the need for diversity on time if the time required Scince that the general would microbiology, organic chemistry, chemistry, biology, human anatomy, hysiology, genetics, psychology, and an additional list of requirements and GPA is required to some degree

It is true that medical schools also accept students, science students Arent. I am in a program of pre-med as an important legal, and that children in classes with me, we are music majors, engineering, etc.

Med school a well-rounded students I interviewed are looking .. More Bio is currently the highest in the group of 10 students from the School of Medicine of the adoption. above are psychology, music, economics, history, etc. .. These schools do you not just interested in the science of science and science. However, in the same direction, it is necessary to have a fairly good knowledge of science and mathematics for Clow MCAT out of the water. Hope this helps!

good luck to enter college and medical school of your choice!
